At 1:10 a.m., the motion detector turned on the garage light outside my bedroom and woke me up twice. The first time, it was a deer. The second time it was a big black BEAR drinking at my birdbath, then he came down the rock wall and sauntered across the driveway. I could hear him breathing.

A bear decided to break into the trash can. We locked the top down the next day but the bear didn’t like it and really knocked the can around. Our can is now in the garage. Hope the bear goes away. This one looked bigger than the one we saw a month ago but it was dark and by flashlight everything is big and scary.
