Where: 256 th Ave SE

Around 7:15pm, rocks were thrown at our living room window twice. No windows were broken, but 2-3 males were seen standing at the end of our driveway in the dark, talking and throwing rocks into our front yard. The police were notified, and when told through the window that the cops were on their way, the men were confrontational verbally, but eventually left. The police did a sweep around the neighborhood, and planned to watch for anyone continuing in this behavior.

Where: 266 th Ave SE

We live on 266 th Ave SE and this morning at 6:10 a.m.  as we were leaving the house for work, we noticed that our secured, locking mailbox was open.  I had just been up on the street putting the trash can on the curb and the mail box was closed at that time, approximately 5:30 a.m.  As we drove out of Mirrormont, we noticed all locking mailboxes were open.  A thief had hit all mailboxes on Mirrormont this morning.  We also noticed some junk mail flyers on the street.  We called 911 at 6:15 a.m. and reported the incident.  We also drove through the housing area but did not see the suspects.

Where: 14000 Block 245th Ave SE

My locking mailbox was smashed or pried off the cemented steel post and stolen (with mail still in it). I saw several mailboxes smashed down a couple of weeks ago on Mirrormont Drive but I don’t see those reported here.

Where: Tiger Mountain Road near 152nd

Last Thursday Feb 5, a rock was thrown at my car, breaking through the window, on Tiger Mt Rd just north of 152nd St.  The rock was hurled from a woodsy part of the road at 7:40pm as I was driving home from Issaquah.  My 3 year old sustained minor injuries from the glass shattering into his head and neck.  Had the rock hit him, or any of the people in the car, it could have been much worse.  A case was filed with the King County Sherriff’s office.  Other residents have shared their concerns about kids throwing snowballs at cars as well.  This portion of Tiger Mountain rd. backs up to Mirrormont with many trails leading through.
